CHRISTIAN ALLEMAN FARMHOUSE - STRITES ROAD
Nicholas Alleman (1756-1826), a private in James Burd's 4th Battalion, and his son, Christian, built this symmetrical Georgian-style farmhouse circa 1798. The house is five bays wide and two deep, made out of red brick with a molded brick water table around the entire house. There is a wide embellished cornice that runs across the front of the house.
The house was approved for the National Register of Historic Places on September 27, 1974.
It is located at 950 Strite Road on Strite's Farm and owned by Tom Strite.
